The 14th annual Napa Valley CanDo Give!Guide launches its two-month fundraising campaign on Sunday, Nov. 1, connecting donors with 98 vetted nonprofits serving Napa County through Dec. 31, the Napa Valley Register reported Monday.
Since its inaugural campaign in 2013, the Give!Guide has raised $8.6 million for 170 local nonprofit organizations — including $1.4 million raised for 91 organizations during last year's drive.
Organized by a nine-person team led by Give!Guide Executive Director Nancy Fireman, the program grew out of Napa Valley CanDo, the volunteer service group founded in 2009. Participating organizations range from large countywide service providers to small volunteer-run groups across agriculture, environment, animals, arts and culture, community, education, health and wellness, seniors, and youth.
First-Time Participants Across Upvalley and Napa
Among the 98 nonprofits in the 2026 guide are several first-time participants highlighted by the Napa Valley Register:
- The Common Table (St. Helena): Launched in fall 2024 under the auspices of Grace Episcopal Church and led by Belli Skinner, the volunteer-run program hosts free neighborhood dinners for 50 to 100 guests — assisted by volunteers ranging from ages 6 to 88 — and partners with the UpValley Family Center to provide English conversation practice over shared meals.
- Brannan Center (Calistoga): Opened in October 2025 inside the renovated historic 1872 Community Presbyterian Church building, the multi-disciplinary arts and community hub served more than 11,000 people during its first year through concerts, free monthly Family Fun Days, visual arts exhibits, and local theater partnerships, according to Executive Director Kyle Clausen.
- Napa Little League (Napa): Founded in 1983 and led by League President Amy Donaldson, the all-volunteer league serves more than 700 boys and girls each season and is raising funds for need-based registration scholarships, catcher's gear, baseballs, helmets, and field maintenance.
